Our Year 5 – 8 students will make up one team to compete in 5 games against other Manawatu Schools. Students will need to be at the Te Hotu Manawa o Rangitaane o Manawatu Marae, 140 – 148 Maxwells Line by 9.00am and will finish by 3.00pm.
This day is a celebration for all students in a traditional Maori sport that is relevant to the present day.
Students will need to wear their sports uniform, take their lunch, a drink bottle and wear warm clothing, including a beanie or sunhat. However there will be food available to buy and there will be a free sausage sizzle. A mouthguard is encouraged.
Please let Nicki or Mary know if you are able to help out with transport to this event.
Note: Team selection will be confirmed tomorrow (Tuesday).
We will be competing on the Marae we will visit in term 4 which is a real privilege!

Scooby Doo Production - Thursday 7th of July

This is priority learning this week. All students are taking responsibility for developing their part... writing parts of their script, developing their character and creating the songs, actions and costumes to bring their character to life. Thank you for your support at home; practicing words, sourcing costume parts and giving ideas. Scooby Doo will be performed in the Senior Room next Thursday the 7th of July starting at 6.30. Some students will need to arrive earlier for make-up. All Whanau, friends and community members are warmly invited. A gold coin donation would be very much appreciated, which will go towards the cost of costumes etc. Supper will be served at the conclusion of the concert.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Nicki or Mary.

Sir Peter Blake Young Leaders Awards
Sir Peter Blake believed in the incredible potential of young kiwis to achieve great things. He knew that inspiring leaders of any age could be found in every corner of New Zealand. Sir Peter showed all of us there are leaders and there are dreamers. Leaders make things happen. Dreamers have a vision. The truly special people do both. In that spirit, and in partnership with Westpac, our Young Leader Awards celebrate young people whose outstanding leadership uplifts their school community.
