Ki o Rahi
Tournament – 30th June
On Thursday the 30th of June, the Year 5 to Year 8
students will travel down to Palmerston North to take part in a Ki o Rahi (a
traditional Maori game) Tournament. Our
Year 5 – 8 students will make up one team to compete in 5 games against other
Manawatu Schools. Students will need to
be at the Te Hotu Manawa o Rangitaane o Manawatu Marae, 140 – 148 Maxwells Line
by 9.00am and will finish by 3.00pm.
This day is a celebration for all students in a traditional Maori
sport that is relevant to the present day.
Students will need to wear their sports uniform, take their lunch,
a drink bottle and wear warm clothing, including a beanie or sunhat. However there will be food available to buy
and there will be a free sausage sizzle.
A mouthguard is encouraged.
Please let Nicki or Mary know if you are able to help out with
transport to this event.

Thank You
A huge thank you to all those who helped out with the fabulous
possum hunt – you all did a wonderful job.
If you are missing any muffin trays, bowls etc, they are here in
the staff room or in the cooking room.
