14th March - ASSA meeting at 7.30pm at the school.
22nd - 23rd March - EOTC Trip to Wellington.
25th March - Good Friday - school closed.
28, 29th March - Easter - School closed.
30th March - School at 9.00am.
4th April - Board of Trustee Meeting.
6th April - Junior Rippa at FMG.

11th April - Interschool Athletics with Feilding Schools at Timona Park (pp date: 13th April). This is a new event that the Oroua Schools have been invited to send the best 3 in each age group from the Oroua group.
15th April - Term 1 ends.
17th April - Trail Bike Ride.
2nd May - Term 2 begins.

Junior Room: Reading - Cidnee now on Green 3, Katie Red 1, Ava Yellow 2, Renee Red 3, Caelan - Purple 1, Tayler, Renee and Ava all finished Early Words!! Spelling - Cidnee, Josie and Ava all 100% - Great results!!
Apiti Show results
The judges Pam Strahan - local artist and Nikita Lowe - local teacher were impressed with the high standard of exhibits at the show and congratulate you all. It was great to see all the schoolwork in the pavilion, and we were all very pleased that Kimbolton School entered some sections and Cheltenham students entered all sections. Some of the Dream Car entries have gone into the Toyota Competition in PN. Good luck.
The Apiti Show Cup was won by Sarah with Tyler 2nd and 3rd= Dylan and Lauren.

Manawatu Striders Interschool Road Race
Brooke, James, Johnny, Sarah and Lauren have been selected to be part of our team for the interschool road race in Palmerston this Thursday afternoon. We wish them well.
Sam Strahan Trials
Trials will be happening at Kimbolton School either this Friday or next Monday at 12.30. The day will depend on the availability of Ben and/or Adam who will be coaching the team. We would like to thank Ben and Adam for offering their time and expertise to coach both our Junior Cup (Year 5-6) and Sam Strahan (Year 7-8) teams. Practices will be each Monday afternoon and one other day each week if possible. All year 5-8 students are encouraged to trail for these teams. They will need to bring a water bottle, shorts and sports shoes for the trial and all practices.

GAFE
Apiti School has been using google apps to support and facilitate learning for a number of years. We are now using the google apps for education suite which enables all students to have their own learning portals. This enables further personalized learning for your child. ASSA
ASSA would like to thank everyone for their food donations to the Apiti Show Judges lunches. It was a great success especially having it in the pavilion. We made $ 972.00. Thanks to the Apiti Show committee for the opportunity to cater for them.
The next ASSA meeting will be held on Monday the 14th of March at the school, starting at 7.30pm, to discuss the EOTC trip and the Bike Trail.
