Oroua Cluster Cricket Festival
Day - Thursday 10th April
Tomorrow Thursday the 10th of April, the senior room students + Chloe, James and Johnny, will be travelling to Kowhai Park in Feilding for the Oroua Schools Cricket Day. This is a follow up from
the fortnightly cricket coaching that we have been having at school with the Manawatu Cricket Association.
We will need to leave school by 9.15a.m as the welcome is at 10.00.
All teams will have four games with a lunch break at 12ish with the day finishing by 2.15 so the students will be back in time for the school bus.
The focus of the day is just having fun and enjoying the game of cricket. We have two teams entered, Year 6, 7 and 8 (Apiti Silver), Year 3, 4 and 5 (Apiti Gold).
All the gear and
umpires will be provided by the MCA.
If it is wet tomorrow then it will be postponed until
Term 4. If it is postponed, the phone tree will operate and it will be school as usual. The junior room students (+ Bianca) will remain at school for the day.
Students will need to wear their sports uniform please and to take their lunch, a drink, snacks, a hat, sunscreen, warm clothes / weather appropriate gear. Thank you to those parents who have offered to take transport. I have allocated children to the following vehicles :-
CLARKE :- Travis and Derek.
FIELDER :- Zahn, Huntah, Dylan and James (In).
McCARROLL :- David, Tyler and Johnny (In).
VICKERS :- Lacey, Pixel and Chloe.
WILLS :- Hannah, Brooke, Anneke and Nikki.
DIGBY :- Huntah, Tyler and Johnny (home).
FIELDER : Zahn, David, Dylan and James (home).
