Next Thursday, the 23rd of February, we will be visiting the Makino Pool.
The aim of the day is to give all children the opportunity to swim the races they will be in and to double check that all children are entered in the correct races for their ability. It is also an opportunity for swimmers to have a focused training session including the start and finish of a race and to continue to develop water confidence. It is a busy day but really worthwhile.
We will need transport and parent help on this day. Please let Mary or Nicki know before Monday if you can help with this so we can organise transport.
We have lanes booked from 12 – 1.30pm. One lane is booked until 2.30pm for extra training for championship swimmers. We will need to leave Apiti School at 11.15am so we can fit in a swim before and after lunch.
Please remember to take togs, 2 towels, sun block a good packed lunch and a drink.
We will return back to Apiti School in time for the bus to run at 3.00pm (if required). If organised with your teacher and driver, you may go straight home.
