Our focus for 2017 … is Mahi tahi - everyone working together collaboratively.This term we are working on Managing Self and making sure we are always being the best we can be at everything we do.

CELEBRATING OUR SUCCESSES :
ATHLETICS
What an amazing day we had on Friday. Very proud of our students achievements. Sarah winning the 11 year old girls and Summer placing 3rd. Along with many other personal bests which is a result of the hard work put in at training at school. Well done everyone.
The relays were well run and a super effort put in by all. 10 & 11 year olds placed second and the Flying Squad was 3rd.

Congratulations to Owen who will be the Pin-Up Photo for the month of April 2018 in the Totally Vets calendar. Owen took the photo and entered the Totally Vets photo competition - well done Owen!

Senior Room Reward Sleepover
Sleep over will be THURSDAY 14th DECEMBER. Students will have official invitations sent home on the 12th December for what they are invited to. Some students need to make sure they focus on their in-class effort and make sure they remember to learn their spelling words!
Student Conferences
These will take place on Tuesday the 5th of December. Please book a time by clicking on the ‘Student Conferences’ tab down the right hand side of the blog. Would be great to see all parents sometime during the day.
Bush Walk
School Uniforms
Could all clean school uniforms be returned to school a.s.a.p before the end of term please.
Bikes
While we are happy for students to bring their bikes to school, they are the students responsibility to lock away every night. For safety reasons, students must also always wear a helmet and shoes when riding their bikes.
Our annual bush walk is on Wednesday the 6th Dec if the weather is suitable. This year is to the Rangiwahia Bush and then to Michael Burke’s Dam where we hope to do some kayaking. The walking is suitable to all levels of fitness and we welcome all in the community to join us. We will inform everyone of the time, via the blogspot, when we will leave the village once the finer details e.g distance and time has been sorted out.
Swimming Fun Day
We have organised a swimming fun day at the Makino on the 15th Dec for everyone. We have booked the rolling log and inflatables. We will leave Apiti school at 10.15 and the pool at 2.00 to be home in time for the bus. We will need transport on this day please.
Board of Trustees
The next Board meeting is on Monday the 11th of December. All welcome.
