Hinepau - Capital e

Hinepau (Capital e)Monday 19th September
We will be attending this show next Monday the 19th of September in Palmerston North at the Regent Theatre.
Hinepau is a mythological tale about staying true to ourselves, respecting our environment, history, cultural traditions and how the choices we make affect other people. Hinepau is different from other members of the hapū and through fear and prejudice, she is cast out. Yet it is Hinepau who must make a sacrifice to save the village when disaster strikes. The production is based on the popular NZ book by Gavin Bishop.
The students need to be at the Regent by 10.30, therefore we need to leave Apiti School at 9.30 please.  Students will need to come to school prior to leaving unless prior arrangements have been made.  The show will finish at 12.30 and then depending on the weather we will have lunch at the Esplanade and then have a swim at the Lido from 1.00 – 2.00, after which time students will be dismissed for the day and head back to Apiti.
Students will need to take a good packed lunch, a drink, wear their school uniform and take their togs and a towel.
This is a great opportunity for you to do a little bit of shopping while the students are at the show, but please make sure you return to the Regent in time to pick your passengers up and move on to the esplanade or the Lido depending on the weather.
