Transport for Friday
Thanks to those who offered transport for the Beach Education day at Himatangi.
Blackmore : Savannah
Cuming : Josie, Katie, Tayler and Cidnee.
Fielder : Brooke, Johnny and Jackson.
Holdaway ; Elliot, Sam, James and Fisher.
Manning : Kirsten, Abbey, Dylan and Connor.
Kira : Caelan, Tyler, Sarah, Lauren and Phinece (The bus will take these students to Londons Ford corner to meet with the Kira's).
Angove : Renee, Ava and Emily.
Education Beach Day - Friday 12th February
This event is taking place this Friday the 12th of February at Himatangi Beach. Cheltenham School students will be joining us for the day. We will need to leave Apiti by 8.45 therefore the bus will need to run 10 minutes earlier Friday morning. It takes just over an hour from Apiti. We will meet at the surf club.
Students will need to take a large lunch, plenty to drink, a sun hat, sunscreen, togs, two towels and warm clothing.
Some parents may need to be in the water with the children, so please come prepared.
Please remember - if your child needs a car seat please provide it.
ASSA - Meeting for all school families.
18th February, 7.30pm at school
It is important that all families are represented and contribute. If you need help with babysitting please let us know asap. All school families are members of ASSA which is the Apiti School Support Association.
We are lucky to have vast strengths within in our school community group and we appreciate the sharing of these. Be it time, expertise, cooking, setting up and manning stations, providing materials ... the list goes on. At Apiti we do not have a "donation" like most schools. Nor do we charge students for education outside the classroom as most other schools do. We believe it is the right of all students to participate in all learning inside and outside the classroom and have many opportunities to use ICT. ASSA makes and donates $8000 to the BOT each year to enable these learning opportunities for your children and to provide extras such as our new school uniforms. We rely on 3 - 4 big fundraisers for funds to cover these costs.
We appreciate the support of all families and the community, and look forward to seeing you at the meeting on Thursday 18th Feb.
Reminder the triathlon is on the 25th Feb and the Show is on 27th Feb.
Reminder all welcome at the BOT meeting on Monday 15th Feb 7pm . This year is election year and we are looking for new members so come along and join us.
