Oroua Hockey Fun Festival - Tuesday 12th August
This fun event is happening tomorrow, Tuesday the 12th of August and will be held at the Twin Turfs in Palmerston North - 6a Manawaroa St.  You will find Manawaroa St when you turn into the Esplanade entrance off of Fitzherbert Ave.
The junior room students (except for those parents who have offered transport) are now not going to this event as we did not have enough transport, therefore it will be school as normal for the junior room students.
We need to be there by 10.30 so therefore need to leave Apiti School at 9.30.  Students will need to wear a mouth guard and shin pads.  Mrs Fielder will purchase mouth guards today which will then need to be fitted at school tomorrow for those who do not have one.  If you do not have shin pads, rolled up newspaper or a magazine tucked in knee high socks will suffice.  Students will need to wear their school uniform (including BLACK only shorts), take a good packed lunch, a drink and warm clothing.  Following the hockey, we will have lunch and then at 1.15 will visit the Palmerston North National Library for research purposes.  We will then travel back to Apiti in time for the school bus run.
If the weather is unsuitable you will be rung quite early in the morning so you know what is happening for the day.
Thank you to those parents who have offered to take transport.  I have allocated students to the following vehicles :-
CLARKE :- Travis & Derek.
FIELDER :- Zahn, Huntah, Hannah & Brooke.
GILLESPIE :- Lauren, David and Sarah.
KNIGHT :- Jackson, Dylan, Tyler and Nikki.
VICKERS :- Lacey, Pixel, Chloe and Franklin.

If these arrangements change, please let Mary or Nicki know immediately.  Remember to please let the bus driver know if your children are not travelling on the bus at anytime.

All the students will be involved and playing at once so everyone will have three games.
