Oroua Schools Golf Day – Tuesday 16th
April
The Oroua Group of Schools
Golf Fun Day is being held tomorrow (16th April), at the Feilding Golf
Club, Aorangi Road, Feilding, for our senior room students.
We will need to leave Apiti
by 8.10 as we need to assemble in
the Clubhouse by 8.50 where students will be put into playing groups, a briefing
and the distribution of equipment will then follow and then the games will
begin.
Students will need to take
their lunch, a drink, a hat, shoes, sunscreen and warm clothes.
The golf fun day will
conclude at 12.30 at which point the students will head back to school for the
remainder of the day. Parents who do not
stay for the golf, must return back to the golf club by 12.15 for pick up
please. Could all senior room students wear their school uniforms please.
Parents please contact your
child’s driver to arrange for pick up time and place.
If the weather is wet, the
phone tree will be actioned.
I have allocated students
to the following vehicles:-
BEARD :- Tom, Ben and Alex.
DIGBY :- Huntah, Tyler, Travis and Derek.
FIELDER :- Zahn, Lacey,
Brooke and Pixel.
GILLESPIE :- Charlotte,
Hannah, Cole, Dylan and David.
Please let Nicki know if
these arrangements change.
The school bus will run at
the normal bus time.
Healthy Lunches
There will be no Healthy
Lunches prepared at school this week, due to the senior students being away on Tuesday
and other commitments on Thursday. Hopefully this will not inconvenience
anyone. Healthy Lunches will commence again
early in term 2.
Assembly
We will have an assembly
this Friday the 19th of April – the last day of term 1. The assembly will start at 2.00 and will be
held in the senior room. All family,
friends and members of the community are most welcome to come along, hope to
see you here.
School times
A reminder that as from the
beginning of term 2 through term 3, school will finish at 2.30 every Friday
afternoon. Lunch time will be from 12.30
to 1.00pm. This will enable families to
make appointments as required.
ANZAC Day – Thursday 25th April
2013:
ANZAC Day this year falls in the school
holidays. We would appreciate it if all students could join the March and
attend the service.

- March to Apiti Hall conducted by
Linton Army led by the Feilding &
District Pipe Band.
- Wreath laying
ceremony.
10.30a.m - Service in Hall conducted by Rev. Heather Hirschberg.
- Followed by morning tea and refreshments.
1.00p.m
- Pot Luck lunch at the Apiti
Tavern. Please bring a plate.
