Two of our local Oroua schools are currently rehearsing for their end of year productions. This is an opportunity for them to develop their skills further in oral language, the arts and key competencies, as we do in our midyear annual production. We invited the Oroua Schools to our dress rehearsal and truly appreciated the audience. We are pleased that this invitation has been reciprocated. By viewing others we are able to further develop our listening and observation skills. It is always great to see how others become their character and develop a show for an audience. We will then use this learning as we develop our production next year.
Rangiwahia Production Dress Rehearsal
This Thursday the 9th of December, our students have been invited to Rangiwahia School to attend the dress rehearsal of their school production. Helen (Rangiwahia School Principal) has suggested that we arrive at Rangiwahia School at 12 noon, have a free sausage for lunch, a swim (as their pool is operating) and then walk to the hall for the dress rehearsal and then leave Rangiwahia at 2.30 to travel back to Apiti.
We have accepted their invitation to travel over there, but will need parents to provide transport please. We will need to leave Apiti School at 11.30 and will return in time for the school bus if needed, as parents may drop students off on the way home. Students will need to take their lunch (to supplement their sausage and bread), a drink, sunscreen, their togs, towel and goggles.
Could parents please fill in the attached transport slip and return it back to school by Wednesday so transport can be arranged.
Kiwitea Production Dress Rehearsal
On Tuesday the 14th of December, our students have been invited to Kiwitea school to attend the dress rehearsal of their school production which starts at 1.30. We will have lunch at school before travelling down to Kiwitea. We will be back in time for the afternoon bus run. Once again, we will need parents to provide transport to and from Kiwitea, so please fill in the attached transport form and return it to school as soon as possible.
