Parent Notice 17.11.2010
This event is happening tomorrow, Thursday the 18th at Kiwitea School for the Year 0 to year 4 students, (year 3 & 4 students will be grouped together, with the Year 0 – 2 students mixed). Students will need to be at Kiwitea School by 9.30. The day should conclude at approximately 1.30. Students will need to wear their school uniform and have their lunch, a drink, a sunhat, sunscreen or warm clothing. Parents are welcome to stay for the day but if you leave, please be back in time for pick up at 1.30. Sausages will be available for lunch at $1.00 each. Thank you to those parents who returned their transport slips, and thank you to those who have offered transport. Children will need to be at school at the normal time of 9.00 and will return to school from Kiwitea in time for the school bus run in the afternoon. However, if your child is not on the bus in the morning or the afternoon, please let the bus driver know. I have allocated children to the following vehicles :-
BEARD :- Tom, Ben & Alex (back from Kiwitea).
DIGBY :- Huntah, Tyler & Ava.
VICKERS :- Lacey, Pixel & Chloe.
WILLS :- Hannah, Tom, Ben & Alex (down to Kiwitea).
MAKOURA EXPLORER :- Mrs Cuming (driving), Cole, Travis, Logan, Charlotte, David, Derek, Keanu, Hayley, Brooke (& Hannah - back).
Swimming Instruction
Swimming lessons continue this Friday the 17th of November at the Makino Aquatic Centre in Feilding. The one remaining swimming day is Friday the 26th. A reminder that you need to be at the pool by 10.00am for morning tea outside in the playground. You may leave straight from home. Parents with children catching a ride need to contact the driver to make arrangements for pick up and drop off. Please remember that students need their lunch, a drink, 2 named towels and their goggles. The bus will not run at all on this day.

Wednesday 24th November
Next Wednesday a group of our senior room students will be visiting Kimbolton School students to teach them how to use wiki and web2.0 tools. Those students involved will be notified early next week.
Thursday 25th November
Manchester St Schools’ ‘Enviro Kids’ will be visiting us next Thursday to share about sustainability. Our students will give them a tour of our school and then we will visit our bush block, weather permitting, and then on the Friday (26th) we will visit Manchester St School from 9.30 – 10.30 before our swimming lessons begin.

We are now able to have the Athletics after school next Monday the 22nd and on Monday the 29th. Therefore the bus will not run until 4.15 on these two Mondays. – J. Beard.
