Lunches
Dear parents,
We have decided on pizzas and juicies for this term. This will start next Monday the 1st of November. We will be selling one 1/4 of a pizza for $2 and one juicie for $1 each. If any one has any ingredients suitable for pizzas, they would be very much appreciated. If any families donate any ingredients they will receive one free piece of pizza.

Athletics
The Oroua Group of Schools athletics are being held on the 3rd of December (p.p 10th December). We are now practicing every day for these athletic sports (as well as having athletics after school every Monday-weather permitting). Please make sure students bring appropriate clothing every day to practice in.
Mt Ruapehu Ski Trip
Unfortunately the ski trip has been cancelled for this year, we hope we will have better luck with the weather next year.
We have been very lucky up to now going each year and having brilliant weather.
I thank you for your patience.
Swimming
These are to start this Friday the 29th of October at the Makino Aquatic Centre in Feilding. For the next 5 Fridays we will be heading to the Makino for our indepth swimming instruction. We will leave school at 9 am. We will meet outside for morning tea in the playground first.As per usual, swimming experience and water confidence are our main learning focus' for the day. We will plan during the 5 weeks however to slot in a time to sing at a Home for the Elderly and to man our Market Stall.
The first lesson is at 11.00am to 12.00pm, the second lesson of the day starts at 12.30 to 1.30pm after which time students may be singing or use this time to practice skills learnt.
We are grateful to the Apiti School Board of Trustees for subsidising these lessons at $25.00 per child for 10 lessons, leaving parents to pay just $25.00 per child for the 10 lessons. Accounts will be sent home at the completion of the swimming.
Students will need to take a packed lunch, a drink, 2 towels and goggles please.
Could parents please make their own transport arrangements for this Friday. Let Mary or Nicki know if you have difficulty with this. The bus will run only if needed.
