Student Celebration Day/Bush Walk

Kiwitea Production
Thank you to those parents who took transport to Kiwitea today, it was much appreciated.  Thank you to Kiwitea for inviting us to the production - it was a great show!

Student Celebration Day - Tuesday 16th December
Please ask your children what will be happening at school during this day.  Students have organised activities and have decided pyjamas or something suitable need to be worn to school for this celebration day.  Sausages will be available free of charge to students for lunch.

Bush Walk - Wednesday 17th December
Hopefully this will be happening this Wednesday if the weather is suitable.  Thank you to Jimmy Warren who has kindly organised this great walk for us. It is suitable for all walkers and we welcome all members of the community to come with us. We will leave school at 9am or you can meet us at the end of Limestone Road at the DOC car park. We are walking through private land until Coal Creek and from there we will be in DOC forest park. We will head up to Short track to check giant Rata, then back along Deer Ford track 35-40 mins to where it crosses Coal Creek. There is a great picnic spot for lunch. We'll head up the creek 30 mins to see the red boulder (very unusual in a greywacke area) and then head for home in time for the bus run.  We suggest all carry a small day pack, with a change of socks and don't forget your rainproof jacket. Everyone will need to be well prepared with suitable walking shoes, (for crossing small streams) a jacket, warm weather gear, sunblock (can be shared). Please take plenty of high energy food and a small water bottle.
A walk in our local bush is a annual event at our school, at this time of year, where everyone can learn in and about their local environment.
Please let us know if you are planning on coming with us as we need to organise transport for our students.

Student Reports
Students will know when they have completed their reports and placed them on their record keeping page.  They will all be available on their record keeping page on their wiki by the end of this week. If you would like to discuss their report or would like a paper copy, please contact Mary or Nicki.

Thank you to Adam for delivering good silage compost to school today for our students to plant pumpkin seeds in. This is for the  Cheltenham largest pumpkin competition , so please feel free to water them in the holidays.
