Also they will be dropped off at home, after camp, unless other arrangements have been made, we maybe be late back, we are expecting to be back about 5, but this may be affected by traffic from Wellington. Contact us by cellphone if you have any queries. Mary has bluetooth in her car.
Could the students please wear their sports uniform (the green and white tops) on the first day of camp. Please pack our Canterbury dress uniform (the striped Canterbury yellow, green black top) for day 2 at Capital E.
Instead of an ice cream container of baking, as we are travelling light maybe arrange with a parent going to buy something suitable eg fruit, museli bars down there for everyone.
We will be eating at Wagamama a Japanese restaurant . Check this link.

Oroua Touch Tournament
We have our final game for all teams this week. It has been great to see all players develop their skills and confidence as the module progressed. The teamwork has been fantastic. We would like to especially thank Adam for coaching 3 of the 4 Oroua teams. Awesome!! He was ably assisted by Alistair (Cheltenham). Thanks also to the many parents who have supported and transported children. We would like to invite you all to bring any easy dinner or pick up some takeaways for a shared dinner after the prizegiving.

Sam Strahan
Congratulations to Zahn, Huntah, Travis, Hannah and Lacey who have been selected for the Sam Strahan rep squad. The coaches are finalising the Junior Cup rep squad today.
These teams will practice each Monday afternoon until the tournaments. The Sam Strahan team will also have a practice on Friday the 4th of April in Kimbolton at 1pm.
The travelling teams will be finalised closer to the tournament. Many thanks to our coaches ... Adam and Ben - Apiti (Sam Strahan) and Murray - Kimbolton (Junior Cup).

Thank You
We helped Destination Manawatu by catering for the cycle race. Thanks to all those who made food for it and we were given $600. Johnny and Sarah also had a gold coin donation box and made an extra $31.70. Thanks to Blair, Maryann, Lance and Mary for helping at this fundraiser. Here is a photo of the penny farthing that one of the contestants rode into the Apiti Village.

School Pool
The school pool is now closed.  Thank you so much to June and Murray for all the work they did to get the pool up and running and for maintaining the pool - it looked extremely inviting.  All your hard work was very much appreciated!
Thank you also to Hilton and Malcolm for helping out with cutting the concrete when it was needed.

Oroua Cricket
Hi Everyone,
So it has been decided that we will hold the Oroua Cluster Cricket Festival Day on Thursday April 10th at Kowhai Park in Feilding.
Like I said in my original email, all the gear and umpires will be provided by the MCA so schools just need to turn up with their teams and play. I would like all schools to have two eight person teams, one Year 6,7,8 team and one Year 3,4,5 team. I realise that some schools will need to go outside these parameters to get enough numbers and that is no problem at all. The focus of the day will be Fun so just having the kids out playing cricket will be great.
I would like the day to kick off at 10am with a welcome to all teams and the first game will start at 10:15am. All teams will get to play four games and we will have a break in the middle of the day for lunch. Everything will be wrapped up by 2:15pm so you can head back to school.
If it was to rain on the 10th then we will postpone the day until Term 4 and I will be in touch about sorting a date for that if required.
If there are any issues with this then please get in touch but I would just like to thank you for making this happen at such short notice. You have been the best cluster of schools I have had to deal with in getting a festival day up and running.
Thanks, Dave Meiring, Development Manager, M.C.A
