Weed- Buster Day
This Wednesday we will all be spending some time learning in our outdoor learning centre; Gillespie's bush.
Students who normally catch the bus will be delivered to the bush rather than to school in the morning. The bus may pick you up 10 minutes later than usual. If you will not be on the bus, please let Yvonne know. All other students will be travelling to the bush from school at approximately 9.10 am.
We will have some visitors joining us. We look forward to learning from them.
The goal of the day is to 'attack' the weeds with the help of our experts (Neil and Todd) from Horizons and Jock, learn about the bug life in our bush with Mr Essen, rediscover the wonder of our bush with Mrs Minaar and review and revitilise our teaching stations with Mrs Fielder. For some students it will be the first time in our outdoor learning centre.
We will be having lunch at the bush so there will not be a Bon Apiti option this Wednesday. Please bring a large packed lunch and drink. Remember to wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Our weed buster group are organising this day. If you have any questions please ask Jack or Huntah.
If the weather is unsuitable only the weed buster group will go up and the rest of the students will have the programme at school.
